As reported earlier, Manny Pacquiao won via a majority decision after 12 rounds of boxing and is still the WBO welterweight champion. Two judges scored in favor of Pacquiao while one scored tied.

“It’s the second robbery of the fights we’ve had, and I think this one was even clearer than the first,” Marquez was quoted as saying after the fight, claiming that he is the real winner of the fight.

“It’s hard when you’re fighting against a rival and you’re fighting against three judges also.” Marquez added, referring to the judges’ scores; 114-114, 115-113, 116-112.

“The fans of Marquez, of course they’re not happy,” Pacquiao reportedly said, who was booed by the pro-Marquez crowd when he was declared winner of their third fight.

“But my fans are very happy because it’s clear I won the fight. … It’s very clear I won the fight.” Pacquiao added, noting that he is willing to fight Marquez for the fourth time.

The Pacquiao vs Marquez III, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, ended without a knockout and both fighters notably gave their best effort.

Glenn Trowbridge (116-112) and Dave Moretti (115-113) scored it for Pacquiao. Robert Hoyle scored it tied for the two, 114-114.
