Jose ‘Cueto’ Castelar, a Cuban cigar roller has started rolling a 70-meter cigar in hopes to break his own Guinness world record, several international news sites reported on Monday.

According to reports, Castelar is trying to nearly double his 2009 record of 43.38m long stogie.

Cueto said that as long as he lives, the Guinness record has to be in Cuba,” Castelar‘s spokesman, Amado de la Rosa was quoted saying. “He is very lively now and will get tired as the days go by, but he hopes to reach his goal.”

Castelar learned to make cigars when he was 14 years old, reports said. A Saudi prince and a wealthy Mexican businessman were said to be among his clients.

He plans to finish rolling the cigar on May 3 and put it on display at the International Tourism Fair next week.
