As reported earlier, Jonathan Antoine became an instant hit when he and his singing partner Charlotte Jaconelli auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent 2012 on Saturday, and received a standing ovation from the judges and audience as well.

That time, Jonathan and Charlotte surprised everyone for combining their opera and pop voices when they sang Andrea Bocelli‘s “The Prayer“, and received a ‘yes’ from the four BGT 2012 judges.

Apparently, Antoine, who is now being nicknamed “SuBoy” being the young male version of Susan Boyle, has older videos at YouTube as early as 2009, which some of them himself has uploaded, and is now earning hundreds of thousands views and good comments.

Among Jonathan Antoine‘s YouTube videos that he uploaded before was when he sang “Ave Maria“, which he uploaded noting that it was the first time he wore a waistcoat while singing; and his duet with Charlotte Jaconelli singing “All I Ask Of You” from Phantom Of The Opera.

Meanwhile, Antoine is now being compared to Susan Boyle, whose success also came from Britain’s Got Talent back in 2009 when she sang “I Dream A Dream” with an opera voice and seemed to look lousy at first glance, just like him.

“What I don’t want is to be roped into a category with other people. I wasn’t too worried about appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, because I wanted to show people the singing.” Antoine was quoted telling to Daily Mail on Sunday.

“If anything I was hoping that because I don’t look like a typical person who’d be in the limelight, it would help. I’d like to show that a person is more than a body.” Antoine added, noted that he was being bullied in school for being overweight.
