As noted at US news sites on Monday, Travolta parked his 1970 vintage car at Berkeley Street in Santa Monica on Sunday for about 10 minutes and visited a Jaguar dealer along Olympic Boulevard.

Apparently, the ‘Pulp Fiction‘ actor returned at around 3:46 p.m. (local time) and learned that his vintage Mercedes Benz is missing, with police reports saying that there were no witnesses.

“I don’t want to speculate because it’s very early in the investigation,” Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis was quoted at Los Angeles Times, noting that Travolta brought his car keys with him.

Since the parking lot is on a residential area, it is still not clear if there was a CCTV video available that could lead to solve the case, as thorough investigation is still going on.

As of this writing, Travolta‘s rep has not yet issued a statement on this issue but authorities noted that the car was registered under the actor’s name.

Travolta, 57, is noted for being a certified pilot and owns around five airplanes. In addition, he is also known to be collecting vintage cars including a Rolls-Royce, Jaguar XJ6 and three Thunderbird cars.

According to reports, Mercedes Benz may be worth between $50,000 and $100,000 but Travolta’s stolen car could reach at least three times since it is a vintage vehicle.
