Johan De Nysschen will start as a senior vice president of Nissan Motor Co. in charge of the Infiniti luxury brand worldwide after resigning as president of Audi of America last week.
According to AutoNews report on Monday, June 4, 2012, De Nysschen will report to Andy Palmer, Nissan‘s executive vice president in charge of business strategy, product planning, marketing communications and the Infiniti division.
Furthermore, Nissan reportedly said that De Nysschen will be based at Infiniti‘s new global headquarters in Hong Kong. The appointment takes effect on July 1.
“We have exciting and ambitious plans for improving the Infiniti brand including introducing new models in all markets where premium customer demand exists. Johan is a highly successful global luxury automotive executive and his leadership of Infiniti will be a key factor in realizing the potential of the Infiniti brand,” Palmer reportedly said in a statement.
De Nysschen resigned from Audi last week after 19 years of working with them, 7 years as president of Audi of America.
