Johan De Nysschen, Audi of America president, has resigned from his post, international automobile news sites and blogs reported on Friday, June 1, 2012.
“I thrive on developing turnaround strategies and on building companies, but Audi of America is no longer a construction site. It needs leadership with a different skill set,” De Nysschen reportedly wrote to Audi dealers in an email obtained by AutoWeek.
“These have truly been the best years of my life, and I know the best years for Audi still lie ahead,” De Nysschen was quoted as saying by Forbes.
The reason for De Nysschen resignation has not been revealed yet. De Nysschen has been Audi of America president since December 2004.
Audi COO Mark Del Rosso will act as interim president for the meantime, reports said.
