Joe the Plumber, real name is Samuel Wurzelbacher, will run for a seat in Ohio‘s Ninth Congressional District using Joe for Congress 2012 campaign, according to reports by several international news sites on Tuesday, October 11, 2011.

Reports say that Joe the Plumber filed his candidacy papers last week. Wurzelbacher was remembered for objecting to the plan of 2008 US Presidential candidate, Barack Obama, to let the Bush tax cuts expire for all those who are earning $250,000 and above. Another 2008 Presidential candidate, Senator John McCain even used the argument of Joe the Plumber as his drive against Obama’s economic platform.

Getting the GOP nomination will pit Joe the Plumber against either Representative Marcy Kaptur or Representative Dennis Kucinich. The two congressmen will be facing off in a 2012 primary of the Democrats.
