Jets coach Sal Alosi suspended and fined after intentional trip to Nolan Carroll (Video)

The National Football League (NFL) announced on Monday that Jets conditioning coach Sal Alosi is suspended and will be fined, after he intentionally trip DolphinsNolan Carroll during the Jets-Dolphin football match last Sunday.

As reported at Fox News on Monday, Jets general manager Mike Tannebaum made the announcement through a statement saying that the team’s conditioning coach Sal Alosi is suspended for the remaining season as well as the post season.

Alosi’s suspension will begin immediately and he will also be fined $25,000, the report added.

Alosi will not also be allowed to have access to any Jets coaching staff and players related to his job function, and will only return to his job after the team’s final game of the season.

Below is the statement of Mr. Tannebaum, taken from Fox News.

“After reviewing the facts and consulting with the league office, we determined that this was the most appropriate discipline.

I have spoken with Sal. He understands the severity of his actions and has apologized to all parties involved in the incident.

There is no place in the game for this type of behavior and his conduct falls disappointingly short of our expectations for anyone associated with the New York Jets.

I have also reminded all members of the organization with sideline access that it is both a priority and their responsibility to maintain a safe environment.”

As reported earlier, New York Jets assistant coach Sal Alosi trips Miami Dolphin’s Nolan Carroll during the third quarter of the their football match on Sunday, which caused the latter to run out of pound and fell on the ground.

After NFL and the Jets reviewed the game, it was learned that the Alosi intentionally trip the Dolphins’ cornerback.

Sal Alosi later issued a statement and made a brief press conference, apologizing for he has done.
