Jessica Sanchez Reacts After American Idol 2012, “America made the right choice”

Jessica Sanchez failed to win American Idol Season 11 as Phillip Phillips was declared the Grand Finale winner on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, as featured at Fox. American Idol 2012 host Ryan Seacrest revealed that there were a total of 132 million votes cast for Phillip and Jessica.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jessica‘s first humble reaction backstage was, “Can I take off my shoes now?” The 16-year-old Filipina-Mexican reportedly wears a shoe with heels that is about 4-inches tall.

Reports say that despite her loss, Jessica was all praises for Phillip. Jessica said that she “think America made the right choice.” She explained that its “Not that I don’t think I’m good, but he’s worked hard for it. He’s really, really put his heart and soul into it, and he’s pushed through all the health issues, and he’s done it. He did it.”

Apparently, a video of an American kid was uploaded at YouTube, and she was crying after she saw on TV that Jessica lost. Her mother was trying to comfort her, but the little girl seemed to find it hard to accept the truth. The little girl named Laney even wanted to call American Idol and tell them that she was upset about the result.
