As featured at Fox on Wednesday night, the remaining seven American Idol 2012 finalists compete with each other via songs for the past 3 years, 2010-2012, with R&B rapper Akon joining Jimmy Iovine as the guest mentor for this week.

“That was really beautiful, in the middle you started digging, you have an amazing opportunity to take America on a ride. I would love to see some Joshua type performances, take us on the ride.” Jennifer Lopez told Jessica.

Steven Tyler said, “Every time I hear you sing I forget where I am, you had the nerve to sing that song and Jennifer‘s shoes,” while Randy Jackson called her performance as “superb at the highest degree” and “the biggest fish of the night”.

That night, American Idol Season 11 finalists were also grouped into two and trio, with Jessica singing “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” by Kelly Clarksonas, with Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanaugh, as shown in the video below. The judges were amazed with the trio, but Randy noted that it was Josh who had the edge among the three.
