American Idol 2012 Top 9 finalist Jessica Sanchez, who is being noted as a fan favorite, sang a Madonna medley with two other finalists on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, as shown in the video below.

As featured at Fox on Wednesday night, Jessica Sanchez performed with Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh, singing three Madonna songs “Like A Prayer,” “Borderline” and “Express Yourself”, to the delight of the audience.

As reported earlier, the American Idol Season 11 Top 9 finalists that night were grouped into three. Phillip, Colton, and Elise performed a Fleetwood Mac medley, while DeAndre, Joshua and Heejun performed a Michael Jackson medley.

Sanchez, 16, whose mother is a Filipina and has an American-Mexican father, also sang Beyonce‘s “Sweet Dreams” that night and was among the five finalists who received a standing ovation from the judges.

“I think you’re a star no matter what,” Steven Tyler said, with Jessica also receiving a lot of praises earlier from Hollywood celebrities and singers including Billy Joel, who originally did the “Everybody Has a Dream” which she sang last week and also received a standing ovation.

Nevertheless, her most noted performance on American Idol 2012 so far was when she sang Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You”, where she did not only received a standing ovation but also praises from various Hollywood celebrities.
