Manila, Philippines – The American Idol Season 11 Top 10 finalists, including grand prize winner Phillip Phillips and runner-up Jessica Sanchez arrived in Manila this Tuesday, September 18, 2012, as part of their American Idols Live! Tour 2012 concert series, which started July 6 in Detroit, Michigan.

As noted at local news this Tuesday, Filipino-Mexican-American singer Jessica Sanchez, along with the rest of the American Idol 2012 Top 10 finalists, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 5:30 a.m, that morning. All of them voiced out their excitement on their official Twitter accounts.
“Thank you guys for all the support that I’m getting at this place where I’m at right now. I’m so excited to be in the Philippines. Let’s get ready for this,” Sanchez, who turned 17 last August 4, was quoted telling to reporters in a brief interview upon their arrival at NAIA.
Other members of the American Idol Season 11 who arrived with Sanchez and Phillips are Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Elise Testone, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Erika Van Pelt, and DeAndre Brackensick, Jessica‘s boyfriend. Back in July, the couple admitted that they are already dating.
“I can’t believe I’m here. Manila will definitely be one of my best memories. The food, shopping, all the cultural stuff about the Philippines, I wanna learn what I may not know,” Sanchez, told reports this afternoon, who is being expected to stay longer in the country than the others due to other commitments.
The American Idols Live! Tour 2012 concert will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City this coming Friday, September 21, 2012. This is their only Asian tour and their last stop after their series of concerts in North America, Canada, and in the US.
