McDonald, 32, an associated artist with the Comedie de Caen Theater in Normandy, France, recorded a VHS video of himself back in 1992 when he was 12 years old then. He appeared to be talking to himself in the future and asked some questions, which he answered only recently, or 20 years later.
Amusingly, McDonald‘s video starts with the line “20 years ago, I left a tape for myself…” and Jeremiah, who was then 12 years old, can be seen saying, “I think I’d like to talk to myself in the future.” The video then shows clips of him, from 1993 to 2011, and each clip shows the changes in his life every year.
This year, 2012, McDonald re-visited the VHS tape which has “Don’t watch until future” message on it, and had a face-to-face with the ‘young’ Jeremiah. He talked to himself on the video and tried to answer some of his old questions. They tackled some serious and funny topics such as pets, hobbies, and sometimes exchange laughs.
At one point, the young Jeremiah picked-up a ‘Star Wars’ toy which the elder Jeremiah still kept after 20 years. Later, the present Jeremiah made a glimpse to his old “Doctor Who” collectible items and reminded himself that he once loved to draw, which in those days the Internet is not yet as what it is today.
On the latter part, the present Jeremiah dropped the line, “Don’t Blink. Blink and you’re dead”, a famous line from the ‘Blink’ episode of the British sci-fi TV series ‘Doctor Who’. His young version did not understand the ‘joke’ since it was released in 2007 and his video has not been created that time.
