Jeff Daniels stars as an anchor man in Aaron Sorkin’s ‘The Newsroom’ with its first trailer released on March 30, 2012. This was reported by U.S. entertainment sites, April 1, 2012.

The Newsroom’ is a U.S. TV series about behind the scenes happenings at a cable news station. Aside from Daniels, the series star also Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher Jr., Olivia Munn, Sam Waterston, Dev Patel, Alison Pill and Thomas Sadoski.

Jeff Daniels is a stage and movie actor who appeared in movies like The Squid and the Whale, where he was nominated as  London Film Critics Circle Award for Actor of the Year and where he won Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Chlotrudis Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Aaron Sorkin is a popular screenwriter who wrote ‘The West Wing’ and won an Emmy Award, and also for ‘The Social Network’ where he won an Academy Award. He also wrote the scripts for highly successful movies like ‘A Few Good Men’ and ‘The American President.’

Reportedly, HBO ordered 10 initial episodes of ‘The Newsroom.’ It will premiere on June 24, 2012.  Below is the full trailer.
