As noted at entertainment news sites on Friday, June 15, 2012, Jamie Lynn Spears performed “I Look Up to You” on Thursday, during a showcase at the 3rd and Lindsley Bar & Grill in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

“The next song is called ‘I Look Up to You‘. You can imagine who I wrote it about.” The younger Spears said to her audience, as she introduced them her country ballad song for her sister Britney, who is now one the judges of X Factor USA.

“Scared little girl living in a big old world. You’ve outgrown your room / It all happened way too soon / They took away your innocence / We forgot our strong defense/ If I didn’t get sieved in this, I’d be lonely…I look up to you.” Jamie Lynn Spears sang.

“How do you repay a love song by the grave? / You hold out your hand and send me to sleep / But we won’t let it get the best of us / We won’t fade away like dirt road dust / Cuz no matter what love still remains.” The 21-year old singer continued.

“Thanks to everyone who came out tonight!! Sooo very appreciated!!” Jamie Lynn Spears (@jamielynnspears), who made a singing debut last year and is reportedly working on a country album, tweeted right after the gig.

Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to her daughter named Maddie Briann Aldridge, who will turn 4 this coming June 19, when she was only 17. The father of the child is her former boyfriend Casey Aldridge, whom she had an on-off relationship; but the two decided to finally part ways in November 2010.
