James Cameron officially confirms making of Avatar 2 and 3

James Cameron officially confirms making of Avatar 2 and 3, as sequels for his top grosser 3D film Avatar, as published at Deadline today.

According to the post, Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Cameron will join forces with 20th Century Fox to make the two Avatar sequels as his next films.

Avatar 2 was said to be release in December 2014, while Avatar 3 is being scheduled for release in December 2015, in which Cameron hopes to see people back in Pandora again.

It can be remembered that Avatar, which was released on December 18, 2009 became the highest grossing film in history, and enjoyed an almost $2.8 billion in ticket sales worldwide.

James Cameron and Jon Landau for Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment were also reported to be producing Avatar 2 and 3.

Meanwhile, its first sequel is aimed by Cameron and top executives of Fox film to start production in 2011 but still has no final movie title, according to the news.
