James Cameron and Kate Winslet attended Titanic’s 3D premiere in London, Tuesday, March 27, 2012, as disclosed by entertainment news, on the same date.

Titanic’s director, James Cameron, who has just succeeded in his descent into the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the earth, said:

“The big thrill of it isn’t just the 3D. It’s bringing it back to the big screen, where it has a lot more emotional impact.”

The movie, Titanic, has been recorded as the second highest grossing film of all time at $1.84 billion, next only to Avatar’s $2.78 billion. Titanic also won for Cameron three Oscar awards, reportedly.

Kate Winslet played the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater, the socialite who fell in love with Jack Dawson, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

James Cameron also directed Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Although the story of Titanic was about the tragic end of more than a thousand passengers of that ill-fated cruiser, 100 years ago, Kate Winslet rose to fame as the film gained worldwide recognition.
