Jack LaLanne, Godfather of Fitness, Dies at 96

The Godfather of Fitness, Jack LaLanne, has died in his home in California at the age of 96, according to International News Sites, January 23, 2011. Reports disclosed that he died of pneumonia.

LaLanne had hosted the famous Jack LaLanne Show, where he encouraged Americans to live a healthy life through proper nutrition and regular exercise.

He had popularized the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer which had helped people extract the essential nutrients from foods, like fruits and vegetables.

LaLanne had also published numerous videos and health and fitness books like the “Live Young Forever.” He was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame in 2008.

Jack LaLanne‘s memory still lives on in his videos, books and wise words on how people should adapt a healthy lifestyle.
