According to E! Online on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, a source told them that J.Lo has plans to leave the said reality singing competition because the 42-year old American singer is very busy now and may do a worldwide tour later.

As noted in the report, Lopez, who recently led Forbes’ Top 100 World’s Most Powerful Celebrities list, is being set to launch a 13-day mega concert tour with Enrique Iglesias which will start in Latin America and the US this July.

Just last week, J.Lo performed her latest single “Dance Again” during the American Idol 2012 Top 4 elimination night, with her much younger boyfriend Casper Smart as one of her backup dancers, apparently to promote her upcoming concert tour.

In addition, E! reported that Jennifer Lopez wants to free up her schedule next year and likely to have a short break from work and have more time with her twin kids, Maximilian David and Emme Maribel, born on February 22, 2008.

Nevertheless, E! said that Fox declined for comment but noted that a source close to the American Idol production told them the network does not want her to leave the show, with J.Lo being on the show for two seasons and made $12 million in Season 10 and $20 million now in Season 11.
