As announced by the book’s publisher, Simon & Schuster on Sunday, April 10, 2011, “iSteve: The Book of Jobs” will be released early next year, and is the first Steve Jobs biography book authorized by the Apple founder.

“This is the perfect match of subject and author, and it is certain to be a landmark book about one of the world’s greatest innovators,” Simon & Schuster publisher Jonathan Karp was quoted in a statement.

“Just as he did with Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, Walter Isaacson is telling a unique story of revolutionary genius.” Mr. Karp added.

Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs biography book, in which rumors started back in 2009, was said to have contained interviewed Apple’s CEO, family members, colleagues at Apple and even its competitors.

Back in 2005, a Steve Jobs biography book entitled “iCon: Steve Jobs, The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business” by Jeffrey S. Young and William L. Simon was released.

However, reports said that the book was not authorized by Steve Jobs and was deported by Apple.
