Istanbul Blast Update: 2 killed, scores injured

According to latest reports of international news sites, an Istanbul blast have injured at least 15 people. The blast occurred at Taksim Square, shopping center of the Turkish City of Istanbul. As of posting, identities of the injured persons were not yet available.

The blast area has been cordoned off by police personnel. The injured people were taken to hospitals by ambulances while some others are being treated on site by medical personnels.

A Turkish NTV report said that the blast may have been perpetrated by a suicide bomber and believed to have been targetting anti-riot police.

Other reports say that at least two people have been killed by the blast. Some buildings around the shopping center had been damaged by the blast.
