As noted at All Things Digital (ATD) on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, their source revealed that Apple will have a special event on the first Tuesday of next month, which will also be the iPhone 5 launch.

As reported earlier, Boy Genius Report (BRG) released a leaked document stating that Apple iPhone 5 will be out on the first week of October via Best Buy stores, with Sprint to launch preorders soon.

Apparently, iPhone 5 was noted to have an 8-megapixel camera and will be thinner and lighter than iPhone 4. Apple has not yet released any formal announcement about this new iPhone.

Meanwhile, other key personnel are being expected to attend the upcoming Apple event including marketing head Phil Schiller, iOS Chief Scott Forstall and Internet Software and Services SVP Eddy Cue.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is being set to lead the event while some reports said that outgoing Apple CEO Steve Jobs could make a surprise appearance; with ATD noting that the date could possibly be moved anytime.
