The iPad 3 rumors is now being believed to come closer to an end, as Apple have already released its March 7 event invitation, which will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, with the invite announced two days after Best Buy cut the iPad 2 price by $50.

According to technology news sites on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, Apple has sent an email invitation for its March 7 event, as shown below, which will start at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PST).

As noted in reports, the “March 7 Apple event” invitation shows a partial photo of an iPad with a sentence that says, “We have something you really have to see. And touch”, which sparks various speculations.

Based on the photo of the iPad in the invitation, some observers suggested that the next iPad (or iPad 3) has a higher-resolution, or so-called “Retina” display and has no physical Home button; while others noted it may be located somewhere else.

“If you look at the invitation, it looks like it’s in portrait mode, and there’s no home button. They’ve been toying with that idea for a while, but I’m skeptical.” Yankee Group analyst Carl Howe was quoted in reports.

Apparently, various iPad 3 rumors have been circulated in recent months, which include running it via 4G LTE and to be made available at Verizon and AT&T, and the latest revealing its processor will be an Apple A5X instead of an A6 chip.
