iOS 5 Release Date Triggers Apple Apps Compatibility Updates

Apple iOS 5 was earlier confirmed by Apple to be ready for download at iTunes on October 12, 2011, according to reports by several international news sites.

The expected release of iOS 5 today, reportedly led to Apple apps updates to settle compatibility issues with the new Apple mobile operating system. Apple started with an update of its iTunes with the release of version 10.5. iTunes new update provides iCloud feature which enables it to wirelessly push all purchased applications from one device to all other devices without the need to synchronize.

Other Apple apps that provide iOS 5 compatibility updates include Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram, and Penultimate among others.

Apple‘s iOS 5 reportedly carries with it about 200 new features. The new iOS is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 3rd and 4th generation, iPad and iPad 2.
