Indiana Democrats, ended what is considered as the longest legislative boycott in the US, returned for work at the Statehouse on Monday, March 28, 2011, according to international sites.

The group of Indiana Democrats reacted on a Republican agenda which they considered as an assault on labor unions and public education.

Reports say that Minority Leader Patrick Bauer announced that they are ending their boycott after winning concessions from the Republicans.

With the Indiana Democrats attending the session, the House got its first quorum on Monday evening since February 22, 2011.

Below is the partial statement of D-South Bend Representative Patrick Bauer on their return to the Statehouse.

We’re coming back after softening the radical agenda. We won a battle, but we recognize the war goes on.
