Ikea recently posted a Valentine’s Day ad that offers a free crib to babies who will be born this November. If anyone wonders why they chose November, do simple math. The Ikea Valentine’s Day offer ad was posted in a newspaper in Australia, and is now going viral in social site Reddit, as shown in the photo below.

“To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Ikea is offering parents-to-be a free cot if your baby is born on November 14, 2013. Limit of one cot per baby. Proof of birth must be provided. Voucher must be presented to redeem offer. Delivery not included.” A statement reads on the Ikea Valentine’s Day ad.
Ikea describes the free baby crib as having a measurement of 74 x 137 x cm, and normally costs $99. Unfortunately, this Ikea Valentine’s Day free crib offer is only available in South Australia and Western Australia. Nevertheless, it is still being considered as a well-done marketing strategy by Ikea.
“Well played Ikea, Valentine’s Day offer.” Reddit user HoxFound wrote on the description on his thread, along with photo of the newspaper page that contains the Ikea Valentine’s Day offer ad. It was uploaded on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 and now has more than 1,000 comments, most of them were funny.
Apparently, some Reddit commentators admitted that they were born in the month of November. Others even made fun of Queen Elizabeth II, since Prince Charles was born on November 14, 1948.
