An I-25 accident resulted into multiple car pileup in Denver, Colorado at around 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) was forced to closed down the northbound I-25 road for about five hours due to the accident in between Broadway and University.
According to the Denver Police Department, there were around 104 vehicles involved in the I-25 accident.
Authorities confirmed that at least one died and over 20 individuals sustained injuries in the pileup.
As of 3:55 p.m., the I-25 northbound stretch has been reopened.
The I-25 accident may have been the result of icy and snow packed roads in Denver. CDOT workers are working on a 12-hour shift to clear the roads using large tankers dispersing product and clearing the roadways of snow and ice.
