Hot cross buns are becoming a favorite Easter party treat in the US because of its inexpensive cost.

According to several business news reports, hot cross buns are experiencing brisk sales as Easter Sunday gets near.

Based on earlier reports, the current sales of hot cross buns have reached a 30 percent growth compared in the previous years.

Traditional hot cross buns are made from made from flour, water, yeast, fruit, sugar and spice. They are usually flavored with the traditional cinnamon and fruit, there’s fruitless, chocolate, mocha, and even sour dough flavour.

Hot cross buns are believed to have originated as a tradition of remembering Jesus’ crucifixion because of the cross marks on the buns.
