Honolulu Mayor to Honor Pacquiao and to Proclaim November 19 as “Manny Pacquiao Day”

Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle will proclaim November 19 as “Manny Pacquiao Day” with Pacman expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16. This was revealed by local Honolulu sites, November 15, 2011.

According to reports, WBO Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao will be honored by Mayor Carlisle and other officials, at the Aloha Stadium before the game between Fresno State’s Bulldogs and the University of Hawaii’s Warrior football team on Saturday, November 19, 2011.

The visit comes after Pacquiao’s victory against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez last Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Las Vegas, in which Pacquiao won by majority decision to retain his WBO Welterweight championship title.

Reportedly, aside from his visit to the Aloha Stadium, Pacman is also scheduled to visit Waikiki’s Hilton Hawaiian Village, Baseball Player Shane Victorino’s VIP party in Maui. Pacquiao is also scheduled to visit the Ala Moana Hotel for autograph signing.
