Honda recalls about 700,000 vehicles worldwide as complaints of engine stalling were reported. According to consumers’ news sites, February 17 and 18, 2011, the recall is applicable for some City sedans, Honda Freed minivans, and Honda Fit compact cars or Jazz.

In India, those manufactured from November 2008 to December 2009 which are 3rd generation city models are affected, while in the US, 100,000 Honda Fits were recalled because of the same engine stalling problems. The Philippines and other Asian countries, which are Honda users, are also affected by the recall.

Last 2010, Honda also recalled 8, 532 City sedans because of defective power window switches.

The increasing numbers of stalling reports and re-starting problems this 2011, have prompted Honda to issue a worldwide recall on the specified Honda vehicles, which were manufactured from November 2008 to December 2009 .
