According to British news sites on Friday, July 29, 2011, Kitler is now being expected to find a new owner, which is currently under the care of Wood Green, a pet shelter in England.

As reported at Wood Green‘s official website, the 6-week old kitten named Luminus was found by a concern citizen in a busy street at Kempston, Bedfordshire on July 22, and gave it to them.

Apparently, the black and white “Hitler cat” has an unusual marking on its face resembling to the mustache of Adolf Hilter and Charlie Chaplin.

Kitler is an adorable little girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right family. She is really playful and a typical sweet kitten.” Wood Green spokeswoman Tara Dundon was quoted at Telegraph UK.

“We rehome five and a half thousand animals every year but we cannot find a loving owner for Kitler. We think her unusual markings are putting people off.” Dundon added.

The severely malnourished kitten was said to have recovered her health after Wood Green staff took good care of the Hitler cat, which is located in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire.

As of this writing, Wood Green personnel are still hoping that someone will adopt the cat and hopes that her resemblance with Hitler would not be a disadvantage to find a new home for her.
