The 30-second video, which has a description of “Pig saves a baby goat who’s foot was stuck underwater at petting zoo. Simply amazing” was uploaded on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 and has more than 2.2 million views as of this writing. However, it was not mention when and where it was taken.
Apparently, the video starts showing the drowning baby goat, while the man filming was heard saying, “Goat on the water.” The pig was seen rushing to the water and swam until it reached the poor animal, which can be heard as if screaming for help and seemed to be unable to save itself.
The pig was seen pushing the baby goat towards the side of the water until it was safe and run away. Later, the camera man can be heard laughing and said, “And there he is, the hero pig.” The hero animal did not seem to understand his heroic act and acted normally.
Nevertheless, the hero pig earned a lot of praises from YouTube commentators, as some of them said they have been moved to tears after watching the video. But there were those who criticized the cameraman for not taking action and let the pig alone save the baby goat.
“What I really wanna know is why was the person filming instead of saving that animal?” One commenter said. “Why was the guy filming when he could’ve helped the goat?” A commentator added.
“Pigs are such cute animals. I don’t feel like eating pork anymore.” Another commentator noted, while someone wrote that, “ow I’m gonna feel guilty eating bacon.”
