As shown live at CNN on Saturday, December 3, 2011, Republican presidential aspirant Herman Cain spoke in front of his supporters in Atlanta, and announced the suspension of his 2012 presidential campaign.

“As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign.” Mr. Cain said on his speech, citing the reasons of his earlier decision why he decided to run for president in 2012.

“Because of the continued distractions, the continued hurt caused on me and my family, not because we are not fighters. Not because I’m not a fighter.” He added, denying all the accusations against him.

“I have peace with my God. I have peace with my wife, with my family and with myself, and my wife is at peace with me.” Herman Cain continued, noting that he will continue his advocacy and will endorse another presidential candidate but stressed out that it will not be US President Barack Obama.

Cain, 65, strongly denied the allegations of the four women who claimed they were sɛxually harassed by him while he was still the CEO of National Restaurant Association. Two of them, Sharon Bialek and Karen Kraushaar, came out in public.

Just last Monday, November 28, a woman named Ginger White was interviewed an Atlanta TV Fox 5 and claimed that she and Mr. Cain had a 13-year extra marital affair, and ended only right before he announced his presidential campaign.

Nevertheless, Herman Cain appeared on CNN an hour earlier, saying that a woman would come but did not mention about the details, but strongly denied on whatever her allegation would be.

Last Friday, the former Godfather’s Pizza chief told his supporters that he will make an announcement the next day, which a lot of observers believe that he will be announcing his withdrawal from the 2012 presidential nomination.
