According to the police, the Hughes 500 helicopter, reportedly carrying 27-year-old British pilot Campbell Montgomerie and 28-year-old tourist Hannah Timings, was found on Thursday, November 22, 2012, eve of Black Friday.

After the helicopter went missing eight years ago, several search and rescue operations were immediately conducted over a two-week period but failed to locate the wreckage.

Authorities explained that the helicopter wreckage was located in a “rugged terrain at the edge of the original search area on Wednesday by another helicopter pilot.”

Reports say that DNA testing will be conducted to formally identify the two bodies.

The police added that the families of the victims were already notified.
