According to TMZ that day, which obtained a copy of the documents of Klum‘s divorce petition, it was filed by her lawyer Laura Wasser at L.A. County Superior Court, which cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

As noted in the report, the estranged couple signed a post-nuptial agreement, which means their assets will be separated, with sources telling the paper that there is no community property to be divided.

In addition, Heidi is asking the judge to restore her maiden name, Klum, along with a rejection of any claim for spousal support by either her or Seal, who will still have visitation rights to their three biological kids, and an earlier child of Heidi which Seal officially adopted.

Back in late January this year, TMZ also reported that sources told them Heidi Klum is being set to file for divorce from Seal, which was later confirmed true, with Seal being interviewed by PBS talk show host Tavis Smiley three days later, noting that their “separation is not that ugly”.

“Of course it’s a difficult situation that we have to handle right now and it’s never easy. In terms of our love and respect for each other, that hasn’t changed at all.” Seal was quoted as saying in the interview.

Klum, 38, and Seal, 49, was married on May 10, 2005 in a Mexico beach, and had two sons (Henry Gunther and Johan Riley) and a daughter named Lou Sulola, born in 2005, 2006, and 2009, respectively; and renewed their vows in May 2010.
