The world’s heaviest living woman recorded by the Guinness World Record is Pauline Potter of Sacramento, California, according to reports by several international news sites on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

The 48-year-old Potter qualified as the world’s heaviest living woman in the Guinness World Records list for 2012, when she weighed 643 pounds last February 2011. The 2012 edition of the Guinness World Records is set to be released on September 15.

According to Potter, she started having weight problems since she was eight years old. Potter describes herself as a “compulsive eater.” She weighed 400 pounds when she gave birth to Dillon, her 19-year-old son.

Based on the Guinness World Records, the heaviest woman ever is Rosalie Bradford who weighed 1,200 pounds in January 1987.
