Harry Morgan, known as Col. Potter of “M*A*S*H”, dead at 96

Harry Morgan, popularly known for his roles as Colonel Sherman T. Potter in “M*A*S*H”, died on Wednesday at his Los Angeles home, as announced by several international news sites, December 7, 2011.

According to reports, Harry Morgan won an Emmy Award in 1980 for his work on the anti-war comedy series “M*A*S*H”.

Several reports reveal that Harry Morgan’s ability to play a variety of roles made him an actor in demand for half a century. Apparently, it was his role on “M*A*S*H” that earned him his most fame.

Related records attest that Morgan was being married twice. Eileen Detchon was his first wife from 1940 until her death in 1985.  He then married Barbara Bushman Quine from December 17, 1986 until his death.

His son, producer Christopher Morgan, reportedly confirmed his father’s death after being recently treated for pneumonia.
