According to reports, the NFL fined Griffin $10,000 for wearing an “unauthorized apparel” on Sunday’s post game news conference.

Griffin was inactive during the Washington Redskins game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, so he was not expected to talk to the press after the game. However, the NFL still fined Griffin for wearing Adidas.

Griffin has a deal with Adidas but NFL has a deal with Nike. Nike reportedly paid more than $1 billion to get exclusively rights to all NFL gear this year.

The NFL confirmed that Griffin was fined $10,000 on a news report on their official website.
