Graco Recall 2010: 2 Million Baby Strollers due to unsafe straps (Model Number List)

By on Oct 21, 2010 in United States, World Comments

A few hours ago, Graco has announced a voluntary recall to about 2 million baby strollers due to unsafe straps, wherein the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) was said to have reported 4 casualties.

According to Graco on their website, the affected strollers may pose a potential risk for small children to be trapped, especially to infants less than 1 year old and are not being properly harnessed in the baby stroller.

Graco also identified the models affected by the recall which are Quattro Tour and MetroLite strollers and travel systems and were manufactured before 2007.

With this, consumers are advised to stop using the baby strollers immediately and check if the models they have are affected by the recall.

However, Graco emphasized in the recall report that affected strollers need not to be returned, but rather to repair them using a free repair kit provided by the company upon customer request.

The repair kit is not a replacement to using a stroller’s safety harness, according to Graco.

Meanwhile, Graco is also reminding parents to secure their child in a safety harness and never leaving them unattended.

Below is the complete list of affected baby strollers by the Graco Recall 2010, along with the corresponding distribution date and model number.
