Manila, PhilippinesGrace Poe-Llamanzares, the daughter of late actor Fernando Poe Jr (FPJ), is now included in the so-called Senate Magic 12 list for the upcoming local elections, which will be on May 13, 2013. This is according to the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS). The complete list is available below.

According to a press release at today, Monday, January 28, 2013, Grace Poe is now statistically tied with re-electionist Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV in the 10th-11th place for the May 2013 senatorial race, based on their survey from January 17 to 19, 2013 conducted to 1,200 registered voters.

As noted in the report, the latest SWS survey, which is also published at Business World as their exclusive print partner, has Maria Lourdes Nancy Binay, daughter of Vice President Jejomar Binay, on the 12th slot, with Grace Poe having its first time to be included in the Top 12 list since the first two SWS surveys.

“If the elections were held today, whom would you most probably vote for as Senators of the Philippines?” The SWS asked the respondents of their survey, which was also the same question during the August 2012 and November 2012 surveys. A list of 31 names was provided in the questionnaire, which were filled-up in private.

Poe, 44, who is running as an Independent candidate, was appointed by President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III (PNoy) as Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chief back in October 2010. Two years later, she resigned from her post and filed her candidacy, her first time to enter politics.

Meanwhile, re-electionists Loren Legarda, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, and Alan Peter Cayetano remained on the Top 3 positions in the latest SWS survey, which they also held during its previous surveys. San Juan Rep. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, son of former president Joseph “Erap” Estrada is on the 4th slot.

The other re-electionist senators who are also in the Magic 12 list are Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan, Koko Pimentel, and Juan Miguel Zubiri, who resigned as Senator in August 2011. Cynthia Villar, wife of Sen. Manny Villar is on the 8th spot, followed by Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile, son of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.
