Google Goggles on iPhone is now available for free download, as Google announced on their Google Mobile blog a few hours ago.

According to the post, this Google Mobile app for iPhone feature allows users to simply tap on the camera button to search using Goggles.

However, this app is only applicable on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 running iOS 4 or higher, since it requires an auto-focusing camera, and enabled only for English-speaking users.

And just like when Google Goggles was launched for Android last December, it also recognizes things like landmarks, logos, artwork, and book covers, although it does not work for things like plants, animals, and food.

Google Mobile App with Google Goggles is now available for free download in the Apple App Store, Google said.

But while some iPhone users may say they still do not see this latest Google App, Google ensured on their blog that it will appear on all App Stores worldwide within the day.
