Melissa Miller claims that God told her to drive 100 mph in a 30-mile zone in Fort Pierce, Florida on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, two days before the Thanksgiving Day holiday celebration.

The mysterious voice was Miller’s excuse when police authorities flagged her down for speeding and blowing her horn long and hard.

A TCPalm.com report say that when questioned by the police, Miller explained that she acted that way “because I was letting the Lord spirit [sic] guide me and the Lord telling me to do it.”

According to MSN.com, the 41-year-old Miller‘s alibi fell on deaf ears as the arresting officers arrested her on charges of reckless driving and speeding. She was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail and with a recommended $375 bail.

Miller, a resident of Port St. Lucie, was also charged with violation of her probation for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
