As noted at local news that day, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo left the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) in Taguig City at around 3:30 p.m. (local time) and arrived at the said public hospital around 4:15 p.m.

As reported earlier, DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo insisted that the former president be transferred by chopper but GMA prefers to travel by land due to the bad weather in the said region.

Nevertheless, the request of Pampanga Congresswoman to travel by land was granted via a private car with a convoy but the route was not revealed and field reporters could not get the exact information since the security was very tight.

Apparently, some cars and a white van carrying a wheelchair were seen leaving the SLMC, and live reports later showed a convoy traveling through Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), which was believed to be carrying Mrs. Arroyo.

The 64-year old former president was accompanied by her husband former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo and son Congressman Dato Arroyo, during her travel to the 150-square meter presidential suite in VMMC.
