According to local news sites on Friday afternoon, Arroyo‘s health is getting better at the St. Lukes’ Medical Center in Quezon City and her doctors might allow her to go home tonight.

“She’s okay and recuperating. She might check out already tonight. She’s feeling much better.” Former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo was quoted as saying on reports.

“Yesterday, she cannot even move. Today, she can move already,” Mr. Arroyo added, noting that the former president, now Pampanga representative, is currently on a physical therapy.

On Thursday, reports say that Mrs. Arroyo complained a painful neck and was brought to the hospital that morning, which doctors said this was due to a pinched nerve.

Apparently, the 64-year old congresswoman was supposed to attend a meeting with her constituents from the second district of Pampanga on Friday but was canceled.

Nevertheless, the former First Gentleman told reporters that his wife, now wearing a brace neck, might still be present on the 40th wedding anniversary of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago and her husband Narciso on Sunday, June 19.

Incidentally, Mrs. Arroyo is set to be among the principal sponsors of the wedding, along with former President Joseph Estrada and former First Lady Imelda Marcos, while President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III (PNoy) will be the best man.
