As shown in the news video below, GMA arrived at the airport at around 8:10 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 and is being set to leave the country for a medical treatment.

This is just hours after the Supreme Court lifted the travel ban against her and her husband, former First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo, as imposed earlier by the Department of Justice.

According to reports, the former president will go to Singapore, but may also go to Germany and Spain. She was seen wearing a neck brace and surgical mask, and entered the NAIA lobby on a wheelchair.

Mrs. Arroyo was seen accompanied by her spokesperson Elena Bautista-Horn and House Minority Leader Edcel Lagman. Her husband, Mr. Mike Arroyo was seen moments later.

Meanwhile, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima noted early that day that the government will stop the Arroyo couple from leaving the country and ordered Immigration and airport officials to hold their departure.

Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is being accused of manipulating the 2004 Presidential election, when she won over the late actor Fernando Poe Jr, while Mr. Arroyo has a separate alleged case.

Some politicians say they believe that they will return to the country to face the accusations legally but some said they will leave for good. As of this writing, it is not yet clear if the Arroyos can leave the country.

On the later report, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was not allowed to leave the country by Immigration officials and was said to have returned to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City.
