Globe My Rewards Program ties up with SM Advantage Loyalty Program

MANILA, Philippines—To enhance its loyalty rewards program, Globe Telecom Inc. has tied up with mall and retail giant SM to gain new subscribers and provide more flexibility for existing subscribers.

Points earned through MyRewards MyGlobe program can now be converted into SM Advantage points, according to a statement by Globe. Every SM advantage point is equivalent to P1 each and can be used to buy items in any SM department stores and supermarkets as well as ACE Hardware outlets and other participating retail establishments all over the country.

The new feature can be availed by Globe users who are also members of SM Advantage loyalty program.

Points are earned by SM Advantage members whenever they buy at SM supermarkets and other retail establishments. These points are then accumulated in a customer’s personal account, which can be accessed using his or her SM Advantage Card.

Globe prepaid and postpaid users earn points through MyRewards MyGlobe and TM Astig Rewards program whenever they load or spend on their mobile phones with Globe and TM SIMs.

Globe prepaid, Tattoo and TM subscribers have reached more than nine million subscribers at the end of October 2010.

SM mall chain is owned by taipan and richest man in the PhilippinesHenry Sy. Currently, there are 40 SM branches all over the country.
