London. – After Sainsbury’s received a letter from a toddler, which went viral online, the company renamed its Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread, international news sites reported on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

According to reports, 3-and-a-half-year-old Lily Robinson sent a letter last May that inspired the change. The letter read: “Why is tiger bread called tiger bread? It should be called giraffe bread.”

Reports said that customer service team member Chris King replied, saying: “Renaming tiger bread giraffe bread is a brilliant idea. It looks much more like the blotches on a giraffe than the stripes on a tiger, doesn’t it?” On the reply, Robinson was also given a £3 Sainsbury’s gift card.

As show in the photo above, the Tiger Bread is now officially renamed as Giraffe Bread. The company confirmed the change in a statement saying: “In response to overwhelming customer feedback that our Tiger Bread has more resemblance to a giraffe, from today we will be changing our Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread and seeing how that goes. We think that renaming Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread is a great idea and want to thank Lily for helping us see the spots for what they are.”
