Gilbert Arenas has agreed to sign a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, according to a published report at NBA.com.

The Gilbert Arenas deal was confirmed by Memphis officials. However, as of posting, details of the contract were not yet available.

Reports say that Arenas already worked out with Memphis on Monday, March 19. Grizzlies revealed that “Agent Zero” will play as a backup point guard to Mike Conley.

The 30-year-old Arenas played with the Orlando Magic during the 2011 NBA season. Since becoming a free agent, however, Arenas had not played this season.

During his nine year career, Arenas averages 21.2 points and 5.4 assists per game.

Knee injuries have affected the performance and almost threatened to end the career of the once elite player of the Washington Wizards.
