Giant Jesus Statue In Poland Completed; Could Be The Tallest Jesus Statue in the World

A gigantic Jesus statue was reportedly completed in a Swiebodzin, Poland on Saturday, according to several news website.

Dariusz Bekisz, Swiebodzin‘s mayor was reported claiming it to be the world’s tallest Jesus statue.

According to Rev. Sylwester Zawadski, the priest who initiated the construction, the statue is 108 feet in height. However, other members of the construction team was said to be giving a different figure. One said that it is actually 167 feet in height, if the crown on the head and the mound it sits on is considered in the measurement.

By comparison, “Christ the Redeemer” statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil stands at only 130 feet tall including its pedestal.

The new statue will be called “Christ the King.”
