Gerry Peñalosa Hopes To End His 21-Year Career In Boxing With A Win

Gerry Peñalosa is set to fight Thailand’s Yodsaenkeng Kietmangmee on October 10, 2010 in Zamboanga City. The event will be held at Zamboanga City Coliseum and the match will be aired on October 17 through Solar Sports.

The former two-division world champion decided to retire finally from boxing and his fight with Kietmangmee will be his last fight. According to Peñalosa, he is satisfied with his achievements in boxing and that he was able to discuss things with his family about his decision. What he only hope is that to end his 21-year career in boxing with a win.

Gerry Peñalosa won his first title, the WBC super flyweight title on February 20, 1997 held in Japan. He compiled a record of 54 wins (35 knockout), eight losses (1 by Knockout) and two draws in 64 fights that spanned two decades.
